It's basically Plebbit but for git.
They even have a crypto token (which got a few people on Hacker News seething):

I read some of that and from what I understand their design seems pretty similar to Plebbit. One major advantage they have is that it works with Tor and I2P, unlike Plebbit (due to IPFS). I also like their little critique of federation in this post. If we're ever looking for a partner in the mission for a decentralized web, they're probably the best fit.
